Gasco




Who we are ..... ?
The Egyptian Natural Gas Company (GASCO) was established in March 1997 according to investment law no. 230 of 1989 amended by law no. 8 of 1997.
The main shareholder of GASCO is EGPC, with a direct equity stake of 70%, the remaining 30% equity stake is equally divided between the Petroleum Projects & Technical Consultations Co. (PETROJET) and Egypt Gas. EGPC owns 97% of PETROJET and 80% of Egypt gas resulting in a total direct and indirect ownership of GASCO by EGPC of 96.5%

UGDCO

The United Gas Derivatives Company (UGDC) is a joint stock company comprising BP Global Investments Limited (BP) , Eni International B.V. (Eni) and the Egyptian Natural Gas Company (GASCO).
UGDC activity is to implement and operate a facility for deep cut extraction and fractionation of natural gas liquids (NGL) including storage, marine loading and pipelines as well as marketing and selling NGL products.
In future, it will be possible to retrofit the plant in order to also produce ethane.
